Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Tarkov-Market.com ("Tarkov-Market", "the Service", "we", "us") is a project created and maintained by a single developer — ggDiam.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Tarkov-Market and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in via Discord OAuth, we receive your Discord user ID, username, and avatar. We do not have access to your Discord password or messages. This information is used to identify your account on Tarkov-Market.
Discord Community Bot
Our Discord community server is moderated with the help of our own bot (tm-admin-bot), which runs on that server only. It processes member events (joins and roles) to grant server access and supporter roles, and it reads message content for a single purpose — spam detection: the same message posted across several channels within a minute results in an automatic ban.
Message content is never stored. It is reduced to a short-lived hash kept in memory for 60 seconds; the text of a message that triggered a ban is posted to a private admin-only channel inside the same Discord server so the ban can be reviewed and reverted. The only Discord data kept in our database is the user ID and username described above, and both are stored encrypted.
Payment Information
If you purchase a Pro subscription, payments are processed by third-party providers (Patreon and Buy Me a Coffee). We do not store your credit card numbers or banking details. We only receive confirmation of payment status from these providers.
User-Generated Data
Data you create while using the Service (such as quest progress, loadout configurations, and preferences) is stored in our database and associated with your account.
Tarkov Pilot: In-Game Positions
If you use Tarkov Pilot, the coordinates from your in-game screenshots are stored in anonymized form (map, game mode, coordinates and time) to build player heatmaps. Individual positions are never shown to anyone: only aggregated data is published, and only where enough different players contributed. You can turn this off at any time with the Share anonymous positions toggle in the Pilot settings.
Server Logs
Our servers may log your IP address and request information for security and debugging purposes. These logs are not shared with third parties.
2. Cookies
We use cookies to provide core functionality of the Service:
- token — authentication token (JWT) that keeps you logged in.
- tm_locale — your selected interface language.
- map_active_panel — remembers the active panel state on map pages.
We may also set short-lived temporary cookies during authentication and payment flows.
Our website is served through Cloudflare CDN, which may set its own cookies (such as __cf_bm) for security and performance purposes. Please refer to Cloudflare's cookie policy for details.
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (page views, geography, device type). Google Analytics may set its own cookies. We do not use any advertising trackers.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and maintain your session.
- To save your preferences, progress, and settings.
- To process Pro subscription payments via third-party providers.
- To ensure security and prevent abuse of the Service.
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a MongoDB database on servers maintained by the developer. Access to the database and servers is restricted to the sole developer behind Tarkov-Market.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services:
- Discord — for user authentication (OAuth 2.0) and for our community server bot.
- Patreon — for subscription management.
- Buy Me a Coffee — for subscription management.
- Google Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics.
- Cloudflare — for CDN, DDoS protection, and content delivery.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6. Your Rights
- You may delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
- You may unlink Discord at any time with the Disconnect button on your account page — this immediately deletes the stored Discord user ID and username from our database.
- You may revoke Discord access at any time through your Discord Authorized Apps settings.
- You may request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
