Tarkov-Market.com ("Tarkov-Market", "Tarkov-Pilot", "the Service", "we", "us") is a project created and maintained by a single developer - ggDiam.
This Privacy Policy explains how Tarkov-Market collects, uses, and protects your data when you use the Tarkov-Market Google Drive integration.
Tarkov-Market respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your data solely in connection with our integration with Google Drive to provide location tracking functionality for Escape from Tarkov players.
1. Information We Collect
When you connect your Google Drive account to Tarkov-Market, we collect only the following limited data under Google’s drive.metadata.readonly scope:
- OAuth Tokens: After you authorize access via Google’s OAuth system, we receive an access token and refresh token. These allow us to securely access metadata from your Google Drive without requiring repeated logins.
- Folder Identifier (ID or URL): You provide the ID or link to a specific folder that contains files used for location tracking in Escape from Tarkov. This allows us to monitor changes within that folder.
- File and Folder Metadata: Using the
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonlypermission, we can only read non-sensitive metadata such as file names, creation/modification timestamps, file sizes, and folder structure. We cannot view, download, edit, or delete any file contents. Our system parses only the file names to extract coordinates used for displaying player positions on maps.
We do not collect:
- Your Google account password
- The content of any files stored in your Drive
- Sensitive personal information (unless explicitly placed in file names by you)
- Email addresses, contacts, or other unrelated Google data
2. How We Use Your Data
The data collected is used exclusively for the core functionality of the service:
- To monitor your selected Google Drive folder for new, renamed, or deleted files using Google Drive Push Notifications (Webhooks).
- To extract coordinate data from file names (e.g., “2025-05-06[15-51]_344.25, 1.12, -118.78_-0.14160, -0.77288, 0.59045, -0.18432_9.03 (0).png”) and display real-time player locations on interactive maps at tarkov-market.com.
- To keep your web interface synchronized with your inventory or session data if applicable.
Your data is never used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or shared with third parties. There is no monetization of user data.
3. Data Storage and Security
All user-related credentials and identifiers are stored securely with strong encryption practices:
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption algorithms.
- Only the minimal required data (tokens, folder IDs, usernames) is retained.
- Access to backend systems is strictly limited to me — the sole developer behind Tarkov-Market.
- No third-party services, scripts, or automated tools have access to your tokens or metadata.
- Servers are monitored and protected against unauthorized access.
We retain your data only as long as you remain connected to the service. Once you revoke access via Google or request deletion, your data will be removed promptly.
4. Your Rights and Control
You maintain full control over your data and permissions:
- You may revoke access anytime through your Google Account Permissions page.
- You can request deletion of all stored data (tokens, folder links, logs) by contacting us directly.
- You may review what data we hold about you upon request.
- You can disconnect your account at any time from within the Tarkov-Market interface.
5. Google API Usage & Compliance
Tarkov-Market uses the Google Drive API under the restricted scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonly, which permits only metadata reading. We comply fully with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Transparency Note – A Solo Developer Project
Tarkov-Market is built, operated, and maintained entirely by one person — me. There is no company, team, investors, or external stakeholders involved. I developed this tool out of passion for the game and a desire to improve the community experience.
I take great care to ensure transparency, minimal data handling, and robust security because your trust matters. Everything runs lean, clean, and private.
Relationship Between Tarkov-Pilot and Tarkov-Market
The Google Drive integration for Tarkov-Market uses an OAuth application registered with Google under the name "Tarkov-Pilot". This is the same project as Tarkov-Market and refers to the desktop and cloud-based tools developed by the same individual.
Tarkov-Pilot is the technical name of the application used to securely connect your Google Drive account to Tarkov-Market's services. When you grant permission via Google's authorization screen, you are authorizing the exact same service you access at tarkov-market.com.
This naming reflects the origin of the tool as a desktop companion app ("Tarkov-Pilot"), while Tarkov-Market serves as the web interface and central hub for related features.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitute acceptance of the revised policy.
